Man Wah Records Orders Exceeding RMB240 Million   2015-10-08

(Hong Kong-8 October 2015) - Man Wah Holdings Limited (“Man Wah” or the “Group”, stock code: 1999) has announced that the Group’s Cheers and Enlanda self-owned and distributor-managed specialty stores in Mainland China recorded orders totaling RMB240.1 million (equivalent to approximately HK$292.6 million) during China’s National Day Golden Week from 1 October to 7 October 2015, a surge of 20.6% compared with the same period of last year. 

During the National Day Golden Week, the Group organized various promotional activities in Mainland China, such as inviting movie stars as brand ambassadors for on-site promotional activities, holding joint promotional events with furniture malls, broadcasting advertisement in China Central Television during prime time, etc. 

Dr Wong Man Li, Chairman of Man Wah, said, “The moderate slowdown of the PRC economic growth has inevitably affected the retail industry. In response, we have been strengthening our efforts in brand promotion and marketing which have facilitated our satisfactory sales performance during the Golden Week. Facing the complicated and constantly changing market environment, we remain confident of our prospects and will leverage our competitive edges on brand position and innovative products to capture the growth opportunities ahead.”
